China Plate is proud to be supporting schools and education settings on their Artsmark journey,
inspiring children and young people to create, experience, and participate in great arts and culture.

We offer education settings who are working towards, or currently hold an Artsmark Award, with the following opportunities:

 

Live productions

We have a number of productions and events taking place around the country each year. Our programme includes a range of theatre (from new writing to devised performances), dance and work in progress festivals. To find out what is currently touring and where please visit our Whats on’ page.

Many of our productions also offer wraparound opportunities for school groups, please get in touch with schools@chinaplatetheatre.com if you are interested in a workshop alongside attending one of our shows.

Key stage: Usually upper KS3 / KS4 (ages 14+)

Artform: theatre / dance

Cost: Varies (often the venues we tour to have discount offers for group bookings)

 

 

 

 

 

 



 


Education packages

We often tour a production specifically for young audiences with a package for schools.

We are currently touring Romeo and Juliet – Mad Blood Stirring.

The package for schools normally include:

  • A performance aimed at advertised age range (usually presented in a theatre)
  • A post-show workshop
  • Online resources linked to the curriculum and available to use in the classroom
  • Teacher CPD – twilight session at the performance venue prior to schools visit

Cost: Varies by venue. Package cost to include all aspects of the programme

Curriculum: usually English / PSHE / Drama (have previously connected with Maths / ITC)
