Doing Nothing is Not an Option

A major event on climate change in partnership with Warwick Arts Centre & Julie's Bicycle.

Event Information

Doing Nothing is Not an Option is a three day event held at Warwick Arts Centre. It is intended for everyone concerned with climate change and the role performing arts has in exploring it and its ramifications.

It will energise, re-energise, inspire and offer an opportunity for people in the performing arts sector to reflect on what the subject means for artists today and in the future. Exclusively targeted at the performing arts, this gathering will see writers, directors, producers and climate specialists of all types come together to shape new ideas and develop a platform for creative responses and new work. This will take place in the context of a public festival of climate related performance work.

Across the three days participants will also have the opportunity to see three shows including Motionhouse’s Broken Random Scream’s 7 Promises and Jonny & The Baptists.

It's open to anyone! Artists, producers, actors, activists - the aim is for you to work together with people from different backgrounds and find your answer to the question 'what can I do about this?'.

DNNO will also be the launch pad for a round of commissions in partnership with producing venues across the country.
