Are you considering creating a project, event or programme but would like to know more about funding and where to find it? Would you like to know the key things to consider whilst applying for funding?

China Plate in collaboration with We Don’t Settle and Birmingham Hippodrome, invites you to Getting Started with funding. In this workshop, you will learn the key principles in applying for funding and the different types of funding available. You will gain tips and insight from members of China Plate’s producing team, who will be joined by Ryan Sinclair – producer, facilitator and founder of Empower Poetry. Ryan will discuss his journey from small pots of money to his first National Lottery Community Fund application, the challenges he faced, and the benefits.

China Plate, We Don’t Settle, and Birmingham Hippodrome are each developing a series of programmes for early career producers and creatives across the West Midlands. As part of this event, you will have the opportunity to hear about each of our upcoming programmes and opportunities, as well as offering your thoughts and perspective on what you’d like to see happening in the region.

Getting Started with Funding is open to early career producers in Birmingham and Coventry of all backgrounds, of different ages, genders, social and economic backgrounds, ethnicities, religions and sexual orientations, and from people who are disabled, D/deaf, or have chronic health conditions.

If you have any questions and if we can make this event more accessible to you, please get in touch with our Training & Development Producer Kristina at [email protected]

This event has now passed.
