In 2019 China Plate began offering development opportunities for Midlands based 16-21 year olds aiming to bridge the gap between our training programmes and schools provision. These opportunities echo or sit alongside our existing activity for professional theatre makers.

Our programmes for 16-21 year olds aim to give young people a chance to explore areas of theatre and the arts that they may not be familiar with in a safe and supportive environment through practical experience.

This has included taking part in a theatre festival alongside professional artists and gaining practical producer training that leads to producing their own arts events.
