Hello Friends,

This is a difficult time for everyone – like many of you, we have been off the radar for a few days while we take stock, re-assess and look at how we move forward. We just wanted to take a moment to send a message of support and solidarity to all of you. To say to all the amazing artists, freelancers, partners, schools and venues all over the UK, that we have confidence that we can come together to navigate these troubled waters.

We have collated a list of resources from our Artist Wellbeing Policy and put them on our website here: http://bit.ly/ArtistWellBeingResources We are finding ways to continue our artist and producer development strands digitally, including our Young Producers programme and The Optimists course, and we are currently working with The Space to deliver our postponed Digital Discovery Days online.

You can listen to our 2018 production of On The Exhale via Audible here: https://bit.ly/OnTheExhale Martín Zimmerman’s “startlingly original” (New York Times) play won a Fringe First Award in Edinburgh that year but did very little UK touring – the perfect opportunity if you didn’t have a chance to see it.

Lots of helpful advice and content is popping up online, Exeunt have put together a very helpful list here: https://bit.ly/ExeuntResources For fellow Midlanders, it’s worth flagging the work that In Good Company are doing here: https://bit.ly/IGCResources If anyone has advice or opportunities, that they would like to share via our networks, please don’t hesitate to get in touch. We are busy looking at ways to support creativity over the coming weeks and how we might respond longer term.

In the meantime, we send you all heartfelt good wishes from all of us at China Plate.
