We are delighted to welcome Aimee to the China Plate team.
Over the next couple of weeks, Aimee is doing a placement from the University of Warwick, working closely alongside our Training & Development Producer Kristina and supporting the wider China Plate team.

Can you introduce yourself?
I am a third year Theatre and Performance Studies student at Warwick University and outside of my course, I take part in multiple drama societies and enjoy playing hockey for the University’s Women’s Third Team. I am currently working on my dissertation (a performance based on the dangers of online incel culture and how they affect young men) and looking forward to working on a student written play about the dangers of AI.
If you were to describe your character in three words, what would they be?
Excitable, funny and passionate.
What are you hoping to do when you graduate from university?
I am hoping to work within the arts industry for a year to gain some more experience with producing, or other sectors that interest me, before auditioning and going to drama school.
What are your hobbies outside of work?
I enjoy eating at or discovering new places, playing hockey and spending time with family and friends. I also enjoy reading and writing movie reviews.
What excites you about working with China Plate?
I’m really excited to work with and get to know the team and can’t wait to find out what projects I’ll be helping with. I’m looking forward to helping with work that involves the local community, as well as local or emerging producers and people within the industry.
